Versus the three to four months we used to need, we're now at about one week of actual work, end to end. The time savings are obvious.

Company

Kitsuné is a Paris-born global lifestyle brand operating at the intersection of fashion, music, and café culture. With e-commerce operations spanning multiple countries and languages, the brand faced a critical bottleneck: producing high-quality product descriptions at the pace and scale their growth demanded.

After evaluating multiple AI solutions, Kitsuné chose Newtone for its superior output quality, competitive pricing, and agile approach to partnership. One year later, the results speak for themselves: content production timelines compressed from 3–4 months to approximately one week per collection, costs cut in half, and a continuously improving quality baseline that now surpasses their previous agency output.

A content pipeline that couldn’t keep up

Before Newtone, Kitsuné’s e-commerce team relied on an external agency and a distributed network of copywriters and translators to produce product descriptions across four languages. The process was heavy, slow, and increasingly expensive.

Timeline
3 to 4 months to produce descriptions for a single seasonal collection, with frequent back-and-forth cycles delaying delivery further.

Complexity
Going through an external agency meant having a lot of back-and-forth. On top of this, the agency needed physical access to products before writing, adding logistical complexity and further delays.

Cost
Agency costs were rising year-over-year, with budgets becoming increasingly difficult to justify against the level of output delivered.

Why Kitsuné chose Newtone

The team evaluated several AI-powered content solutions through a structured testing process. Newtone stood out on three dimensions: the quality of generated output, competitive pricing, and a partnership model that matched Kitsuné's own culture of agility and continuous improvement.

We spoke with several AI solution providers, ran multiple tests, and chose the most convincing result - which also happened to be the best value. We wanted a partner as agile as we are. That alignment in mindset was essential.

Beyond the product itself, the team valued Newtone's responsiveness and willingness to iterate. For a brand that operates across fashion, café, and music with high creative standards, having a technology partner that listens and evolves was non-negotiable.

Onboarding: a deliberate start, then rapid acceleration

The initial deployment phase was slightly slower than expected - a natural consequence of Kitsuné’s exacting creative standards. The brand has precise expectations around tone-of-voice, terminology, and formatting across every language.

Newtone addressed this through a series of collaborative workshops, diving into micro-level detail on language preferences, brand voice nuances, and formatting rules. This hands-on approach allowed the AI model to be fine-tuned to the brand’s exact specifications, and the team quickly gained confidence in the tool.

I can clearly see the progress. Between when we started and now, there have been significant improvements. My review time is much shorter than it used to be.

A key factor in the model’s improvement has been the feedback loop built into the platform. When the team edits outputs directly in Newtone, those corrections feed back into the system, continuously refining future generations. The team reports clear quality improvements between early collections and recent ones.

Measurable impact after one year

After two full seasonal collections with Newtone, Kitsuné has seen transformative improvements across three critical dimensions: speed, cost, and quality.

The time-to-market compression is the most dramatic result. What previously required a full quarter of back-and-forth with an external agency - including physical product viewings, multiple revision cycles, and coordination across distributed translators - now takes approximately one week of combined generation and review time.

Cost reduction has been equally significant. The team estimates their content production budget has been halved, even as Newtone delivers higher volume capacity and continuously improving quality. Review time per collection has dropped to approximately two to three working days, and continues to decrease as the model learns from each cycle of corrections.

Expanding the partnership

With the core product description workflow firmly established, Kitsuné and Newtone are exploring several new avenues to extend the impact of AI-powered content across the brand’s digital presence.

Product title translation
Translating all product titles from English to French on the e-commerce site, with support for character-length constraints required by their front-end templates.

SEO category pages
Generating optimized content for category pages (currently absent from the site) to improve organic search visibility. Newtone will create and periodically refresh this content to maintain and improve rankings over time.

Hidden SEO titles
Generating detailed, keyword-rich hidden product titles that surface additional product attributes for search engines — complementing the existing customer-facing product names.

Meta tags & technical SEO content
Automated generation of meta titles, meta descriptions, and other technical SEO elements across all product pages and languages, following the model already in production with other Newtone clients.

In parallel, Kitsuné is working with Iprospect on a broader SEO strategy. The team envisions Newtone as the execution layer for content production, informed by the strategic SEO guidelines developed with their agency — a model that combines best-in-class strategy with scalable, brand-consistent content generation.

About the partnership

Kitsuné has been a Newtone client since early 2025. The partnership was initiated through a recommendation by Siparex, a leading private equity firm. The team is currently co-authoring a use case article with BPI France on the topic of automated product descriptions in retail, further validating the impact of AI-powered content at scale.
